The interdisciplinary Master's program in Political, Economic and Legal Philosophy (PELP) focuses on problems of practical philosophy regarding the relationship between normative theory and political-economic practice. It addresses the limitations of examining economic, political, and legal problems solely through the lens of political, economic, or social sciences, arguing that this approach provides an incomplete understanding of social phenomena. The program emphasizes that these phenomena are interdependent and require interpretation and regulation based on their normative implications.
The Master's program equips students with the ability to use methods from political, legal, economic, and social sciences to develop well-founded, normatively oriented problem-solving strategies. This interdisciplinary Master's degree, which is also offered on a part-time basis, is characterized by a strong inter- and transdisciplinary approach, combining theoretical and applied areas from all participating disciplines. The seminar and course times are designed to facilitate part-time study.
The PELP Master's program aims to provide new perspectives on a changing society, enabling students to understand economic and political challenges from the perspective of normative theory and political philosophy.
