The Study-program itself is very demanding but extensive and offers the graduate many opportunities later to be able to work at sea and on land.
You can see the disadvantages, compared to other universities that offer nautical science, studying at the Hochschule Bremen is not feasible, the modules are very time-consuming because of the many content parts, there is also the stop signs system, which is not available anywhere else at other universities, That means elimination questions, one of them is enough to fail even if you have answered 90% of the exam correctly and that is unfair.
Another point, although the majority of the students after the Germans are international students, the professors still treat you unfairly when correcting the exams and generally treat you sometimes harshly and rudely. Also for international students, the job prospects at German shipping companies are not so great, as they even admitted to taking only German officers first or taking either Europeans or Philippines Russians , Ukraine through crewing management.
In summary, I do not recommend studying at the Hochschule Bremen , but somewhere else much better , because the course really lasts even more than 9 semesters and it is a disaster :( You can ask other students from the university to confirm all what I have mentioned above .
