The International Technology Transfer Management (ITTM) Master's program at bbw University of Applied Sciences in Berlin is designed for engineering students aiming for management careers in international companies. This full-time program, taught in English, lasts four semesters.
The program aims to provide students with an understanding of management duties and procedures, enabling them to immediately start working in international companies. Students benefit from the academic and practical experience of lecturers, as well as collaboration opportunities with German firms. The program uses project-based learning activities, where students work on real-life projects designated by local businesses, ensuring practical relevance from the start.
The curriculum includes technology areas such as Automotive Technology and Business, Smart Factory and Digitalized Production, and Logistics and Mobility Technologies. It also covers technology transfer techniques, management principles, international business law, intellectual property rights, and intercultural communication. The program includes case studies, student consulting projects, and a student scientific research seminar. Foreign language modules include Technical English and Technical German as a foreign language.
Graduates will be equipped to manage international projects, safeguard technology transfer processes, develop cooperative international support structures, reduce obstacles in emerging nations, facilitate entrance into new markets, and source competent local contacts.
Admission requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum grade of "Satisfactory" and English language skills corresponding to Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (IELTS minimum score of 5.5, TOEFL iBT minimum score of 72, or PTE minimum score of 59). German language skills are not required.
The program starts in the winter (early October) and summer (early April) semesters. Application deadlines are August 15th for the winter semester and February 15th for the summer semester.
