Kurzbeschreibung & Facts
The Master of Ecology program in Bremen welcomes students interested in the complexity of ecological interactions that shape our environment and sustainable well-being. As part of an international research group at the Institute of Ecology, students benefit from flat hierarchies, approachable instructors, and an individual mentoring program. The program aims to equip students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to investigate and address ecological problems, from microscopic species interactions to the sustainability of ecosystem services. Core areas of study include biodiversity dynamics, data analysis, and scientific communication, focusing on how environmental changes affect populations and species communities. Students will develop skills to address biodiversity threats with effective solutions. The curriculum allows for combining core topics with optional modules such as GIS applications, food webs, entomology, and field trips. Diverse research project and MSc thesis options provide flexibility to tailor studies to individual interests and career aspirations.
