The Master's program in Applied Computer Science at SRH University deepens your knowledge of computer science applications in business and research. It prepares you for a career with your desired employer or for pursuing a doctorate. The program is offered at multiple locations, including Heidelberg, Munich, and Stuttgart.

The curriculum covers programming, software engineering, and more. You will gain in-depth, up-to-date knowledge and skills necessary for your professional career. In the first semester, you choose one of three specializations: "Business Computing", "Mobile Computing", or "Usability Engineering and UX Design". In the following semesters, you will take elective modules from your chosen specialization.

With a degree in Applied Computer Science, you will have excellent opportunities for a career in the software and IT industry. Graduates have found positions in companies such as ABB, Airbus, Accenture, Adidas, Audi, Bosch, BMW, BASF, Deloitte, Deutsche Börse, DKFZ, Triumph, PWC, SAP, and Verivox, as well as in successful small and medium-sized enterprises. The program also qualifies you for positions in the public sector, research, and doctoral studies.

Possible job roles include software engineer and architect, full-stack software developer, system analyst, system designer, IT project manager, and IT consultant.

The program covers topics such as software development, data analysis, and modern information systems. Students learn programming languages, algorithms, and data structures to develop innovative solutions for complex problems. Practical modules such as Software Engineering and Databases, as well as topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, promote the development of future-oriented skills. Business Analytics and Data Science are also covered to enable data-driven decisions. Agile methods train students in flexible project work and team communication. The program concludes with a master's thesis in which the acquired knowledge is applied in a practice-oriented project.
