Data Science

The Master's program in Data Science at UAS Technikum Wien is designed to train analysts for the information society's most valuable resource: data. This interdisciplinary program equips graduates with the skills to support decision-making processes in various phases within companies and organizations. The program is subject to accreditation by AQ Austria, and the language of instruction is English.

Program Facts:

• The program starts in September and has a duration of 4 semesters, totaling 120 ECTS credits.




• Upon completion, students earn a Master of Science (MSc) degree.




• The program is offered part-time and is taught in English.




• The tuition fee is €363.36 per semester, plus a €25.20 ÖH fee. For students from third countries, the tuition fee is €3,000 per semester.




• The program incorporates remote learning elements (blended learning).




• A semester abroad is recommended but optional in the 3rd or 4th semester.




• A Double Degree program is available with the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology.

• Preparing and modeling data for analysis.




• Conducting analyses considering ethical, data protection, infrastructure, and business aspects.




• Selecting and applying relevant analysis methods and algorithms.




• Communicating analysis results appropriately and transferring them to operations.




• Planning, implementing, and managing Data Science projects for value creation.




• Eliciting requirements and defining goals for Data Science projects.




• Communicating with technical and non-technical professionals during project design and implementation.

• Elective courses in areas such as Smart City, Process Analytics, Data Warehouse & BI, Natural Language Processing, Finance, Big Data Analytics, Smart Maintenance, Marketing Analytics, Trustworthy AI, Renewable Energies, Medical Imaging, and Security & Privacy in AI.
