The M.Sc. Physics program at the University of Göttingen is a research-oriented program designed to prepare students for careers in research and development, as well as for doctoral studies in physics. The program structure includes advanced lab courses, research seminars, and the development of scientific projects. Students have the option to choose experiments, computational projects, internships, or electronic lab courses.
Admission requires a Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related subject with at least 180 Credits, including specific credit requirements in physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, or computer sciences, as well as theoretical physics. Non-EU applicants are required to take the GRE physics test. Proof of English and/or German skills is also required, depending on the applicant's native language and prior education.
