The School of Life Sciences FHNW offers master programmes that provide access to a broad spectrum of applied sciences. The school is located close to major players in the life sciences sector, facilitating a continuous exchange with industry research and production departments, ensuring that the latest research findings are integrated into the curriculum.



The available Master programmes are:



  • Medical Informatics: Applying digital techniques and artificial intelligence in healthcare.


  • Life Sciences: Preparing for a career in Applied Research and Development in Life Sciences with nine specializations.


  • Joint Degree Master in Biomedical Engineering




The MSc Life Sciences offers the following specializations:

A Double Degree option is available for selected students, allowing them to earn two diplomas by studying one additional semester at a partner institution.



The FHNW Campus Muttenz houses approximately 3,700 students and 800 employees, including those from the School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics, Civil Engineering and Geomatics, as well as the School of Education and Social Work.
