This is a great programme, which has been the most enriching academic experience for me (especially as someone without an undergrad degree in social science). The student-professor ratio is amazing, meaning your teachers know you and have time for you. They also are extremely grounded people, as most have field experience and are interested/excited to teach. The MPA is a hands-on programme, which gives you an all-round perspective on public policymaking, though the number of compulsory courses in year 1 can feel overwhelming and difficult, as you haven't chosen them. That said, you walk away with a very quickly acquired base knowledge of lots of essentials. The course is quite euro-centric, but there are opportunities for expanding on interests beyond that. Course availability does vary from term to term, which can be frustrating, in terms of fitting all the 'best' ones in one term (Winter), and then struggling to find things you're drawn to in the Spring.
However, overall, the students are bright and engaged. The student body is crazily international, and there is a big emphasis of the multicultural nature of every room you sit in.

I would recommend CEU as a great modern university with highly diverse student community from all around the world. The new big campus will be build quite soon. Good university to study social sciences.

The level of education and quality of professor at institutional level is very prestige. However, the undergraduate program only started few years ago, and you can tell that they are still figuring out organization wise.
