The Online M.Sc. Wind Energy Systems (wes.online) is a part-time distance learning degree course taught in English. The study period is 5 to 7 semesters, depending on the individual learning schedule. The program is aimed at natural scientists and engineers and aims to train specialists for research and industry in the field of wind energy.
Lecturers are experts in wind power from the University of Kassel and the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology (IEE). The University of Kassel is a leading university in the field of sustainability. The program is also a member of the educational alliance mint.online, which aims to train experts in mathematics, computer science, natural science and technology with a focus on sustainability.
The program starts in October. It is possible to acquire separate certificates to specialize in certain areas of wind energy systems. The certificate program starts in both the summer and winter semesters.
The master program is designed as an English-language part-time distance learning program. Depending on an individual learning plan, the duration of the program is between 5 and 7 semesters. The target group of the master program are engineers and scientists from all over the world. The goal of the program is to train wind energy specialists for research and industry.
Applications for the master's program are open to students with a German bachelor's or diploma degree until September 1, 2019. Students with non-German degrees are already required to submit by July 15, 2019. The next start of the program is in October 2019.
Furthermore, we offer the acquisition of individual certificates to enable specialization in individual areas of wind energy. A study start is possible in both winter and summer semesters.
