The University of Bamberg offers a Master's program in English and American Studies with two branches: a "regular track" and a "Joint Master's Programme in English and American Studies". Both are exclusively English-taught MA programmes.
The "regular track" allows for specialization in one subject area or a balanced study of all areas. It also allows the import of modules from other Master programmes possible in two module groups ("Restricted Electives" and "Free Electives"). Import of language classes possible in module group "Free Electives". Internship possible.
The "Joint Programme" offers a balanced study with a focus on a profile area. Import of modules from other Master programmes or language classes possible in module group "Free Electives". Internship possible. It includes an obligatory semester abroad at one of the partner and mobility universities.
Both branches require proof of English C1 (CEFR) and do not require German skills. The language of instruction is English. Academic advisors are available throughout the entire programme, and there is support upon arrival (BASIS) and a tutorial programme for (international) students.
