The BA (Hons) Music Business is a 3-year full-time degree designed to nurture creative flair and build core skills for aspiring music business entrepreneurs. The program expands students' knowledge of the music industry across various subject areas, focusing on planning, forecasting, financing, creativity, and digital marketing.
Students will be guided by well-connected lecturers who mentor their professional development, supporting project management and business skills in areas like artist management, self-employment, traditional and digital marketing, music publishing, copyright legislation, social media, the live industry, music recording, and distribution.
The course offers flexibility, allowing students to specialize in their unique areas of interest. Students gain hands-on industry knowledge through work experience opportunities with music-focused employers or by developing their own entrepreneurial ventures.
The course is taught over three years (levels four, five, and six) and is awarded by BIMM University. The language of study is English.
Graduates can pursue careers as DIY artist/managers, record label executives, A&R managers, publishers, PR and marketing managers, or digital communications managers.
